Self-care Journal -
13 days in Kapaau, Hawaii
The 13-day journey documents a focus on self-care after a crisis landed me on my bottom — old strategies emerged - strategies that aren’t good for me. The 13 - days focuses on a foundation for emotional, spiritual and physical health and how to best prepare for and endure the storms of life.
Day 1 - a practice in distraction
Let me back up a bit to explain the conditions where I tripped and fell down.
Day 4 - The story of the sad, little tent
When I arrived at the ironwood tree last evening, the tent was lying collapsed in a heap on the ground.
Day 5 - sleep
Star light. star bright. first star I see tonight. I wish I may. I wish I might. Have this wish, I wish tonight. What is your wish?
Day 9 - Heading up today
Today I head up to the ironwood tree. 4 nights - 5 days. See you on the other side.
vision quest - night 1 - Apocalypse
I brought the last of my belongings up to the sacred ironwood tree. It was sunny - felt like a gift.
vision quest - night 2 - Earth-Love Embodied
I decided to cut off my braid in sacred ceremony.
vision quest - night 3 - Janet unplugged - acoustic
Felt raw, in the best way - unplugged, acoustic, stripped down, flat, calm, peaceful, quiet, depleted, empty.
